ROLE PURPOSE:

As the Senior Specialist - Procurement, you will support the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies to ensure quality, innovation, and sustainability within Space42. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will contribute to optimizing the supply chain and leveraging AI capabilities to enhance procurement efficiency. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet Space42's strategic objectives in AI-powered space technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement frameworks aligned with Space42’s strategic goals, focusing on cost savings, quality, and innovation in space technology.
• Conduct supplier market research to identify potential vendors that can meet Space42's requirements for cutting-edge technology and high-quality products and services.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and finance, to ensure alignment between procurement activities and project timelines.
• Support supplier selection, negotiation processes, and vendor relationship management, ensuring contracts align with legal and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to contract negotiations, helping secure optimal terms and conditions while ensuring supplier compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products and services, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and assist in budget management to ensure procurement activities align with financial objectives.
• Identify and assess supply chain risks, helping to develop contingency plans to prevent disruptions.
• Stay updated on changes in procurement regulations, industry trends, and geopolitical factors that could affect procurement activities, and support adaptation efforts.
• Provide input and assist in the continuous improvement of procurement systems, with a focus on data analytics and process automation.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement or vendor management, preferably within the space technology, aerospace, or related industries.
• Strong skills in negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Experience working with broad supply chains, including vendors from technology and assembly/manufacturing sectors.
• Familiarity with digital procurement systems, process automation, and data analytics.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are a plus.
• Knowledge of AI or machine learning applications in procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for vendor and partner meetings as required.
• Familiarity with technology procurement regulatory standards and guidelines.
