ROLE PURPOSE

As Director of Geospatial AI at Space42, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of cutting-edge geospatial data solutions that drive decision-making across various industry sectors. Your vision and in-depth expertise in geospatial analytics & data science will guide the Geospatial AI team in developing cutting-edge information processing and analytics software for the geospatial landscape. Reporting to the VP - Geosptial Platforms, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects, playing a key role in the integration of advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and remote sensing into our portfolio of solutions.

• Drive the adoption of innovative geospatial technologies, including AI, machine learning, and remote sensing, to create high-impact solutions for clients.
• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for geospatial AI in line with the company’s overall vision and industry trends.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful and profitable project execution at every step.
• Oversee the end-to-end development of geospatial products and services, ensuring they meet client needs and industry standards. Collaborate with teams to design, build, and deploy scalable geospatial data solutions that deliver actionable insights.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of geospatial analysts, data scientists and engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in geospatial analytics.
• Identify new business opportunities, assess market demand, and guide the development of solutions that address current and future needs.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance its reputation as a leader in geospatial innovation.
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of geospatial data operations, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis. 

• MSc in a STEM related discipline.
• A Ph.D. with a focus on Earth Observation (EO) with 6+ years of work experience in geospatial data analysis solutions.
• Or else, a Master’s degree with 9+ years’ experience in geospatial data analysis solutions.
• Proven expertise in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, with a focus on geospatial applications.
• Strong technical proficiency in AI frameworks, cloud computing, and big data platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale, high-impact projects.
