ROLE PURPOSE

As Mobility Ecosystem Manager at Space42, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and expanding partnerships across the mobility landscape, including public transit authorities, technology providers, private sector partners, and government agencies. Reporting to the VP of Portfolio Management, you will ensure the seamless integration of multi-modal transportation solutions, drawing up mutually beneficial data-sharing agreements, and complying with regulatory guidelines to create a sustainable, highly efficient, and scalable urban mobility ecosystem.

• Design and execute strategies to develop an integrated mobility ecosystem, aligning all key public and private sector mobility initiatives.
• Identify and secure strategic partnerships to enhance urban mobility solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop interoperability between mobility services, payments, and ticketing platforms.
• Build relationships with government agencies, city planners, and transportation authorities to align mobility services with infrastructure and regulatory policies.
• Negotiate and manage data-sharing agreements and smart city integrations with municipalities and private mobility providers.
• Represent the company in mobility forums, consortiums, and industry conferences to advocate for ecosystem expansion.
• Foster collaboration between ridesharing, micro-mobility, public transportation, and autonomous mobility platforms.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local and global investment offices, VC/PE funds, international organizations and universities to support ecosystem growth and innovation.
• Work with tech teams to integrate APIs, V2X communication, and mobility analytics platforms.
• Support the deployment of real-time data-sharing frameworks between multiple mobility service providers.
• Leverage insights from mobility data, consumer behavior analytics, and transit patterns to optimize transportation efficiency.
• Ensure mobility solutions comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Collaborate with legal teams to navigate public transit regulations, shared mobility policies, and MaaS licensing requirements.
• Provide thought leadership on mobility innovation, sustainability, and urban mobility governance.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, including electric mobility adoption, emissions reduction strategies, and smart infrastructure development.
• Partner with sustainability experts to align mobility ecosystem strategies with climate goals and smart city objectives.
• Explore new business models, such as subscription-based transit access, dynamic pricing, and demand-responsive transport (DRT) models.

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mobility, urban transportation, smart cities, or MaaS ecosystem management.
• Strong expertise in mobility partnerships, connected vehicle technologies, and public-private transportation collaboration.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for shared mobility, electric vehicles, and transit infrastructure.
• Experience in mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), urban planning, and connected vehicle technologies.
• Proven experience working with government agencies, public transit providers, and urban mobility initiatives.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree (MBA, M.S. in Transportation, or Public Policy).
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience working with AI-driven mobility analytics, IoT-based transportation solutions, and smart city technology.
• Background in funding and grant acquisition for transportation projects.
• Experience in building large-scale multi-stakeholder transportation programs.
