ROLE PURPOSE

As the GRC Engineer at Space42, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks critical to our space technology operations. Your key responsibility is to take technical ownership of ServiceNow GRC processes, overseeing all standard configurations, integrations and custom developments as defined by their respective process and business owners. You will ensure that all ServiceNow GRC features are fully supported by adequate and efficient technology platform capabilities—managing regulatory compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting initiatives for technical innovation across the organization.

• Configure and customize the ServiceNow GRC platform to meet organizational requirements and regulatory specifications.
• Ensure the platform supports all ServiceNow GRC processes and procedures.
• Maintain and update the platform, integrating it with other enterprise systems as required.
• Automate GRC workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure seamless data flow between the ServiceNow GRC platform and other systems.
• Provide technical support for the ServiceNow GRC platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to address technical challenges.
• Ensure accurate data entry and management within the GRC platform.
• Generate and distribute reports on GRC activities and metrics.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making.
• Train users on how to effectively use the ServiceNow GRC platform.
• Develop, maintain, and update user guides and training materials.
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to platform users.
• Ensure the platform complies with all relevant security standards and regulations.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the platform.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
• Identify trends and recurring issues to implement preventive measures.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow Implementation, ServiceNow GRC.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical GRC specialist role or a similar.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow GRC (e.g. Policy & Compliance, BCM, Risk Management).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, GDPR, EAR, ITAR.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced technical understanding of ServiceNow GRC module.
• Experience with GRC platforms, risk assessment methodologies, and audit management.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash) for compliance and audit automation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with evolving compliance demands.
